Zenith Air, a leading airline in the Middle East, is taking significant strides to enhance its Internet Booking Engine by integrating advanced capabilities for distributing airline ancillaries and advertising slots. To elevate the flight experience for travelers and diversify revenue channels, Zenith Air is leveraging the Host-n-Sell platform to create and manage ancillary services. These services, including lounge access, extra baggage, in-flight meals, onboard entertainment, and more, will be available during the booking process and distributed to resellers via NDC subscriptions and GDS publishing.

Methodology and Technical Details

Zenith Air’s integration with the Host-n-Sell platform was designed to meet the strictest requirements for ancillary service creation, management, pricing, and distribution. The platform supports a wide range of services that enhance the traveler’s experience, such as lounge access, baggage options, in-flight meals, WiFi, onboard entertainment, and paid seating. These services are seamlessly integrated into Zenith Air’s Internet Booking Engine, making them easily accessible to travelers during the booking process.

Additionally, Host-n-Sell offers key functionalities for displaying and differentiating airline products and services, as well as managing advertising slots. These slots can be utilized for advertising onboard, in lounges, on airport TV screens, in-flight magazines, and through co-branding at airline outlets worldwide.

Our team collaborated closely with Wajed for an extended period, acting as an integral part of their development efforts. Over the course of the project, we provided a skilled team that included frontend developers, backend developers, project managers, business analysts, DevOps engineers, QA engineers, and a delivery manager.

The frontend development was powered by technologies like React, TypeScript, and Redux, ensuring a responsive and intuitive user interface. For backend development, we utilized robust frameworks and languages including C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework to handle complex business logic and data management.

Our QA engineers employed tools like Jest and Mocha to conduct thorough testing, ensuring the platform’s reliability and performance. Additionally, our DevOps team implemented continuous integration and deployment practices using Azure and Docker, ensuring seamless updates and scalable infrastructure.
